Publication guidelines
Guidelines for publications.
The final versions of the research papers fulfilling the standards and format set will be published twice in international and refereed publications: as hard copy in “Schriftenreihe der Paedagogischen Hochschule Linz, and as electronic publication in the “Future College Electronic Publication Series.
Find subsequently the guidelines for ELHE publications and some information on the recognition of your participation at the seminar. We urgently ask you to follow the format and the deadlines set (from the very first moment on when preparing the abstract of your paper):
- Final papers fulfilling subsequent criteria have to be submitted to Mart Laanpere (mart.laanpere@tpu.ee) latest by 30th September 2004 electronically as WORD files and as hard copy (M.Laanpere, Centre for Educational Technology, Narva road 25, Tallinn 10120, Estonia).
- Length of hard copy paper: minimum 2500 words, maximum 4500 words
- Length of electronic version: Unlimited :-)
Contributions have to contain:
- 1. Abstract (in English and national language)
- 2. Key words
- 3. Text:
-- overview/introduction to the problem addressed
-- explicit definition of the problem to be addressed (research question)
-- description of the “treatment”
-- results / outcomes
-- interpretations
-- conclusions
- 4. References
- 5. Notes on author (-s)
- 6. Correspondence
Ad abstract:
- abstracts should explicitly address the problem to be tackled
- the discourse community in which it is placed
- main lines of argument
- possible conclusions / solutions, and
- an overview of the structure of the article;
- length: some 20 lines);
- abstracts in English and the official language of your country
Ad keywords:
keywords are decisive on how your article may be accessed in search engines, therefore: explicit and in between 6 and 8
Ad titles of articles:
thematic / problematising / preferably in question format
Ad text:
structure in approximately 5 chapters; check with “critical friends” their understanding of the text; check English
Ad references:
follow international standard; websites should contain information when visited; especially when making reference to developments in “your” country give sources of information
Ad notes on author (-s):
brief information on position and research interests
Ad correspondence:
name, institution, (snail and @-) mail address
