Abstracts and Presentations
Important deadlines!
1. Abstracts
All participants are requested to submit their abstracts by 30th June, 2006 and send them to siegfried.kiefer@phlinz.at.
The abstracts should include the title, the author, the name of the university and about
15 - 20 lines (Times New Roman 12 pt).
They should
- explicitly address the problem to be tackled
- present the main lines of the argument
- offer possible solutions / conclusions and
- give an overview of the presentation's structures
All abstracts will be made available on the platform as of the beginning of July, 06.
2. Presentations
All participants are requested to submit their full presentations by August 5th, 2006 at the latest and send them to siegfried.kiefer@phlinz.at. The presentations should be structured as follows:
a) Title of the presentation
b) Name of the author
c) Name of the author's university
d) Abstract in English
e) Abstract in the author's mother tongue
f) Key words (keywords are decisive on how your article may be accessed in search engines, therefore: explicit and in between 6 to 8 keywords)
g) Text
- Overview/introduction to the problem addressed
- Explicit definition of the problem to be addressed (research question)
- Description of the "treatment"
- Results / Outcomes
- Interpretations
- Conclusions
h) References (international standard)
i) Notes on the author(s) (give a brief information on your position and interest research)
j) Correspondence (add your name, your home university, your home address and your E-Mail address)
Staff members will read your presentations before the Intensive Programme and if necessary give you feedback on it. Participating students will be asked to read at least one article and submit an analysis ("critical friend") at the Intensive Programme after your presentation.
