Intensive Programme - General Information

• Participating students and staff organise their flights to Riga on their own. According to EU regulations the most economical fare will be reimbursed after the IP. € 400,-- of each participant is guaranteed for travel costs.
• The Intensive Programme will be held in Jurmela at the Lielupe Hotel. For further information please check www.lielupe.lv.  Accomodation, breakfast and one meal per day will be funded. The beautiful hotel at the seaside is not far from the capital Riga which can be easily reached by train. All rooms are equipped with bathroom, TV, etc. According to the number of applicants we have booked the corresponding amount of rooms (based on double occupancy). if you are interested in a single room you will have to pay the surcharge yourself. The hotel is located very close to the beach (1 minute walk). All seminars will be held at the hotel. You will notice the numerous amenities the location offers.
• Transportation from the airport to the hotel on the arrival and departure day will be reimbursed if you use public transportation  (take the train from the airport to Riga Main Station; there you can change trains and take the one directly to Jurmela) or use a taxi with double occupancy. 
• Please note that students need to complete the whole intensive programme in order to receive reimbursement. In order to claim the reimbursements please download the reimbursement sheet from the BIP Homepage. The claim has to be sent immediately to the coordinating institution within the following 2 weeks including a copy of the flight ticket and original receipts. 
• All participants are asked to send an abstract of their paper to the coordinating institution (siegfried.kiefer@phlinz.at) by June 30th, 2006. The finished presentation should be available by July 31st, 2006.
