ELHE 2005 guidelines for the EUDORA publications series
1. Format of publication
The final version of your paper may be published twice. The hard copy version will be published in Schriftenreihe des Universitätsverlags Trauner (Linz) and the electronic publication in the Future College Electronic Publication Series – see http://www.pa-linz.ac.at/institut/huwi/ive/default.htm
2. The Files
2.1. File_Format
Send the manuscripts in RTF- or in WORD/DOC-format via e-mail.
2.2. Filename
The file should be named according to the following pattern:
Author'sLastName_WordFromTheTitle_ELHE.FileFormat
For instance: Valjataga_Objects_ELHE.doc
2.3. Compression
If you are accustomed to the use of file compression utilities, we prefer to receive the files as a ZIP-archive (PC) or SIT-archive (Mac) if sent via e-mail.
3. Formatting the text of manuscripts
3.1. Volume
Submitted manuscripts for the hard copy should generally be between 2500 and 4500 words in length. Each manuscript should also contain an abstract of 200 words, maximum. Longer versions may be accepted for the electronic publication.
3.2. Styles
The format of body text is based on Times New Roman 12 point. Heading and sub-headings should be formatted using the pre-set styles from the EUDORA publication template (Heading1, Heading2, Heading3), not by manually increasing the font size and/or assigning the 'Bold' format. At the beginning of the document, write the title of your paper (Style: Heading1), author's name and university (Style: Authors). The same goes for the titles of tables and figures – use the appropriate pre-set styles (table, figure) from EUDORA publication template. The easiest way to format your paper in correct way would be copying it (using Edit > Paste special > Unformatted text) into the template document and then assign the appropriate style to each heading, table and figure title.
3.3. References
References should be in a consistent format – see the EUDORA publication template.
3.4. Graphics
If any images are to be included, they should be sent also as separate files, preferably as TIFF (bitmap) or EPS (object oriented). The images must also be placed in the document. Try to avoid bitmap graphics if you make your own illustrations. Use object oriented (vector) graphics instead. If you use the graphics tool within your word processor, make sure to group all drawn objects. Also make sure that the illustrations come out good on paper. We also always need a paper copy of the original image sent to us.
3.5. Tables
To make tables, use the table function in your word processor. Do not use the Tab key.
